Record the working day, not the shop hours
Explain when staff should start and finish recording work. Someone preparing a shop before opening may have a different start from the public opening time.
Use recorded attendance as evidence, then review it against the arrangement for that employee. A scheduled finish should not automatically erase a genuine late close.
Make break handling predictable
CrewLoca supports recorded breaks and planned break settings. Decide how those settings relate to the actual working day and review exceptions.
If a worker did not take the expected break, resolve the record instead of assuming the planned deduction must be correct. Clear correction reasons help the manager and payroll reviewer understand the change.
Keep store access focused
Assign managers to their stores and payroll viewers to the approved records they need. When someone helps at another branch, check their workplace assignment before the shift.
CrewLoca is an attendance system. It does not replace point-of-sale software, a staffing rota or a retail sales report.
- Test location checks inside the building.
- Check opening and closing exceptions regularly.
- Resolve break changes before approval.
- Use the same payroll cutoff across the stores you export together.
