CLEAR CONTROLS. CLEAR LIMITS.

Employee privacy belongs in the conversation.

Understand what the app records, who can see it and what a clocking record can—and cannot—tell you.

No continuous GPS tracking

Where a workplace requires it, location is requested at clocking actions. CrewLoca does not continuously follow movement, record screens or monitor keystrokes.

Individual kiosk PINs

Workers select their name and use a four-digit PIN. PIN checks are limited and owners can revoke devices. A PIN is not biometric proof of identity.

Access follows the role

Owner, manager, worker and payroll-viewer permissions separate management, clocking and payroll tasks. Workplace assignments further limit the records people can access.

Encrypted connections

The public service uses HTTPS. Restricted application connections protect access to the database. Device security and careful account access remain part of the employer’s setup.

Explain the arrangement to your team

Tell workers why attendance and any clocking location evidence are needed, who reviews the records, how long they are kept and how to raise a correction or privacy question. Use proportionate workplace rules and review your organisation’s responsibilities.

CrewLoca’s features support a controlled attendance process. These icons describe product controls; they are not third-party certification seals or a guarantee that every employer’s use complies with data-protection law.
