Evaluating a time clock for an international team

Staff clocking, employee time clocks and timecards describe closely related attendance needs in different markets. For an international team, the important differences are time zones, payroll conventions and local working arrangements.

Check the time-zone model

CrewLoca supports a time zone for each workplace and a company reporting time zone. Shifts use their saved workplace time zone and the date they started. Check the company reporting period and exported dates before testing work across borders.

Do not assume separate automatic payroll calendars or local policies for every country within a company. Test a shift crossing midnight and a clock change against the actual dates your payroll team expects.

Check the handover to local payroll

Open a sample CSV in your intended spreadsheet or payroll workflow. Check date interpretation, decimal hours, worker matching and the pay-period cutoff. A CSV export is not a claim of a native integration with every payroll system.

CrewLoca does not calculate country-specific tax, wages or statutory entitlements. Confirm the attendance and privacy requirements that apply to your business before adopting any clocking system.
