Resolve the exceptions first
Check open shifts, missing starts or finishes, break totals and correction requests for the pay period. Ask for the missing information while the working day is still fresh.
Keep the original record and the reason for any change. An adjusted time should be explainable to both the worker and the person preparing payroll.
Approve a defined period
Choose the same date range and staff scope that payroll expects. Review the working-time rules the business has configured, including any rounding or overtime decisions, before confirming the hours.
CrewLoca separates review and approval from export. A payroll viewer can view and export approved timesheets within their assigned access; they do not need the ability to change workers’ attendance.
Choose an export you can open
CSV is a plain spreadsheet format that can be opened in Excel or imported into Google Sheets. A printable report can be saved as PDF when a readable copy is more useful than editable cells.
An export is not a direct integration with every payroll package. Compare its columns, date format, worker identifiers and hour units with your payroll system before importing anything. CrewLoca does not run tax calculations or pay staff.
- Confirm the pay-period dates and selected people.
- Check that exceptions are resolved and hours approved.
- Reconcile the export total with the reviewed timesheets.
- Keep the approved report with the corresponding payroll run.
Common questions
Do I need Microsoft Excel?
No. CSV files can also be imported into Google Sheets or another compatible spreadsheet application. Printable reports can be saved as PDF.
Can I change an exported spreadsheet?
A spreadsheet copy is editable, but changing it does not correct the source attendance record. Resolve corrections in the attendance process and produce an updated export so the records remain consistent.
