1. Prepare your company details
When registration opens, create your business workspace with your company name, your full name and the company time zone. You become the owner and can manage the business without clocking yourself.
Check the time zone before recording hours. Company reporting uses this setting; each workplace can also have its own time zone.
2. Add your first workplace
Open Locations and choose Add workplace. Give it a name your team will recognise, check its time zone and choose the location rule: a GPS boundary, location recording without a boundary, or no location requirement.
For a GPS boundary, check the map marker and test the arrival point on a phone. Explain the rule to your team: location is checked at clocking actions when required, with no continuous movement tracking.
3. Invite your people
Open Team and choose Add person. Enter the person’s name and their own email address, choose their role, and assign their workplaces. Use the invitation link so they can join with the invited email.
Workers record their own day. Managers review assigned workplaces, with approval and people-management permissions set by the owner. Payroll viewers can view and export approved hours for assigned workplaces, without changing attendance.
Set regular working hours and unpaid breaks where needed. Only unpaid breaks should be entered.
- Check the email address and workplace assignments before sharing the invitation.
- Give people only the access they need.
- Include owners, managers and payroll viewers when estimating enabled billable accounts.
4. Check the first working day
Ask one person to join and record a start and finish. Check the recorded workplace, times and break deduction, then review and export that first timesheet.
Resolve any setup or permission issue before rolling the routine out to the rest of your team.
Common questions
Can I create a business account today?
New business registration is not open yet. Registering launch interest does not create a company or send invitations.
Does each workplace need its own plan?
No. Unlimited workplaces and geofences are included in the standard plan. Pricing depends on enabled billable accounts.
