Worker: your first clock-in

Your manager or owner invites you to the company workspace. Use your own account, check the workplace and record your working day as it happens.

On this page

1. Join with your invited email

Open the full invitation link from your owner or manager. Follow the sign-in and password steps shown, using the email address that received the invitation. Check the company and your name before joining.

If the link is unavailable or the email is wrong, ask your owner or manager to check it. Do not create a second worker account to get around an access problem.

2. Choose your workplace and clock in

Open My time, check the selected workplace and choose Clock in. If that workplace requires location, allow the browser request and follow any instructions shown. CrewLoca does not continuously track your movement.

Check the confirmation and clocking state. Only your assigned workplaces are available; contact your manager if the workplace you need is missing.

An early arrival is recorded, but worked time starts at your scheduled start where a schedule applies. Check the message on the clocking screen rather than assuming the timer must start immediately.

3. Handle unpaid breaks and clock out

Check the unpaid-break plan shown for your day. If planned breaks are set, they are deducted automatically; do not record the same break again. If no planned break is set, use the break controls when your employer makes them available. Employers can hide these buttons; the existing unpaid-break rules still apply and a wrong deduction needs review.

Choose Clock out when your working day finishes and check the confirmation. If you missed an action or the break deduction is wrong, ask for a correction with a clear reason. Do not enter paid breaks as unpaid time.

Optional shared kiosk

A workplace kiosk is a company device shared by the team, so you do not need to use your own phone. If your employer provides one, select your name and enter your separate four-digit kiosk PIN. Set the PIN in your own Settings → Clocking methods first. Do not share it or use your phone PIN.

Use Clock in or Clock out and check that the screen returns to the worker-name list. A kiosk needs an online connection; your personal device keeps its separate offline clocking flow. Break buttons appear only when your employer makes them available.

4. Check a pending clocking

Open the app online before relying on offline clocking. With an available cached workplace, an offline action can be saved on your device, but it remains pending until the server confirms synchronisation.

Reconnect and check that pending entries have synchronised. Keep the device data until this is confirmed; clearing it can lose unsent clockings. Tell your manager if an entry remains pending.

Common questions

Do I need an app-store download?

No. Use a supported phone, tablet or computer browser. You can add CrewLoca to your home screen; on iPhone or iPad, use Safari’s Share menu and Add to Home Screen.

What if location fails or my hours are wrong?

Follow the exception instructions shown and contact your manager. Use the timesheet correction route with a reason; do not submit a false location or invent a clocking.
