Download a free fortnightly hours tracker spreadsheet and printable two-week timesheet PDF. Record starts, finishes, unpaid breaks and approvals.

No account. No email address. No payment.

Choose how you want to record the hours

Excel: enter times, see the total

14 rows with a start date, start and finish times, unpaid break minutes, calculated worked hours and a period total. Input cells are clearly marked. A worked example and instructions are included.

PDF: print and fill in by hand

14 daily rows on one A4 page. Record times, unpaid breaks and worked hours, then review and sign. The printed sheet does not calculate totals.

How to complete the fortnightly timesheet

  1. Add the company, worker, workplace and period.
  2. Enter actual start and finish times. In Excel, enter both dates for overnight work.
  3. Enter only unpaid break minutes that should be deducted. Do not deduct a paid break.
  4. Check incomplete or invalid rows before using the total. Record separate working periods on separate rows or sheets.
  5. Have a permitted manager review the records before passing them to payroll.

Example: 08:00 to 16:30 with a 30-minute unpaid break gives 8h 00m. Seven hours thirty minutes is 7.50 decimal hours, not 7.30.

These templates are attendance aids, not payroll calculations or proof of legal compliance. Spreadsheet date/time arithmetic does not adjust for daylight-saving changes: review those shifts separately. Use a new sheet for additional split periods, and never total the same period twice.

Template questions

Can I open the spreadsheet in Excel?

Yes. It is a genuine .xlsx workbook with formulas. Keep a blank copy and save a separate copy for each worker and period.

Can I record an overnight shift?

Yes. Enter the next day as the finish date. Check the date, unpaid break and total before approval. Daylight-saving changes need a separate elapsed-time check.

Is the download really free?

Yes. The templates are free without registration. CrewLoca’s app is a separate subscription with a planned 30-day no-card trial when customer access opens.
